GME has received Cospas Sarsat approval for its GPS-equipped emergency position indicating radio beacons, the manually and water activated MT403G and the automatic MT403FG.
The models incorporate a 16-channel GPS receiver that in an emergency will transmit the beacon’s latitude and longitude as well as the identification of the owner. This will result in a much faster emergency response time through the geostationary Geosar satellite constellation and a reduced search and rescue area, typically less than 100 m.
