GateTel offers the EZ863-GPS-PY terminal which is a complete modem GPS and GSM solution based on Telit’s GE863-GPS module. The terminal is supplied with an embedded Python script interpreter that allows custom programming. It also has a 24-pin connector for GPIO and can be directly controlled by a standard 9-pin serial RS232 interface.
A USB to RS232 interface cable is also available as an extra accessory option. The terminal supply voltage range is from 5-30 DC.
Features include: quad-band EGSM 850/900/1800/1900 MHz; output power class 4 (2 W) 850/900 MHz, Class 1 (1 W) 1800/1900 MHz; AT commands according to GSM 07.05, 07.07 and Telit commands; power consumption - power off 26 µA, idle 4 mA, GPRS (max) 700 mA; eight general-purpose inputs, four general-purpose open collector outputs; LIPI battery 960 mA/h with internal charger; relay 30 V 1 A for external control; memory - 3 MB of NV, 1.5 MB RAM; GPS high sensitivity for indoor reception up to -159 dBm; fast TTFFs at low signal levels, hot starts less than 2 s; support 20-channel GPS, GPS NMEA 0183 output format; Python software ready to be loaded - free GPS GPRS tracking software, low-cost Python downloader via RS232, Python downloader via GPRS.
