ACMA to hold 400 MHz update

The Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA) is holding a free 400/803–960 MHz tune-up on Friday 11 March 2016 that will look at the transition requirements to the 400 MHz Plan for milestones two and three, transition options as well as the exceptions policy.

Taking place at the ACMA Sydney office, and with videoconferencing to Canberra, Melbourne and Brisbane, attendees will also be able to hear reports on milestone progress and recent developments.

The outcomes of the 803–960 MHz review will also be introduced.

Registrations close on 9 March, or when venue capacity has been reached. Email 400mhzimplementation@acma.gov.au to book a spot.

ACMA also stated that throughout 2016, it will be conducting monitoring on the 400 MHz band and for users to make sure all their equipment is operating in accordance with its licence parameters.
