Following a three-month transition period, Airwave Solutions Australia has today taken over the operation and maintenance of the NSW Government Radio Network (NSWGRN).

The NSWGRN was established in 1993 as a common platform linking government agencies and authorities that use mobile radio. Covering approximately 266,000 km2 - roughly a third of NSW - it includes the Sydney basin and surrounding region.

The NSW Telco Authority and Airwave worked with Motorola, the previous network manager, to ensure a smooth handover.
