ARCIA announces new CEO, gala dinner at Comms Connect
ARCIA has announced that it has appointed Paul Davis (pictured) as the inaugural CEO of the association, as part of its ongoing efforts to grow and better meet the needs of the industry. Having worked closely with all sectors of the industry over many years via his work as Event Director of Comms Connect, Davis is set to bring his valuable knowledge and experience to assist ARCIA on its continued journey as the voice of the wireless communications industry.
Having officially commenced in the position on 12 September, Davis will take part in this week’s annual ARCIA committee planning days in order to help to develop plans for the Association for the year ahead and beyond. ARCIA expects this will be a valuable time to evaluate progress to date and to look at how to continue to strive to provide for its members, partners and the broader industry via training, networking and business development opportunities.
The next big event for the association will be the ARCIA Industry Gala Dinner, to be held next month in conjunction with Comms Connect 2022 at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre. The dinner on 19 October will be a night for ARCIA members to welcome each other back after the lockdowns and restrictions of the past two years, and to enjoy the festivities, food and drinks. Tickets to the dinner can be booked here or through Comms Connect as part of delegate packages.
The Industry Gala Dinner will also feature ARCIA’s Industry Excellence Awards, celebrating and recognising the achievement of outstanding individuals in the Australian radio communications industry. All ARCIA members actively involved in the industry are entitled to nominate and be nominated, provided that the award criteria is satisfied.
Nominations are now open for the following awards:
- Professional Sales
- Customer Service
- Technical Excellence
- Engineering Elegance
- New Talent
- Community Service
Nominations will close on 28 September and can be made at https://arcia.org.au/standard-page/industry-excellence-awards/.
