The annual conference of BICSI - a global not-for-profit organisation supporting designers and installers of IT systems for all areas of industry and government - will be held at the Brisbane Conference and Exhibition Centre on 12-14 May.

In recognition of the convergence of communications technologies, the Australian Radio Communications Industry Association (ARCIA) will be doing a presentation at the conference entitled ‘RF in the IT domain - it’s not just Wireless’.

In addition to the presentation, ARCIA will have a stand at the exhibition and will sponsor the cocktail hour on the evening of the ‘Free Trade Day’ on the Monday afternoon. ARCIA has put out an invitation to all its members to attend the free exhibition and also to be part of the networking opportunity between the radio communications industry and the IT sector.

“This is an important opportunity to break down barriers between our relevant industry sectors and reinforce that we really are now part of the ‘converged communications’ world of information technology,” says Ian Miller of ARCIA.

By registering for the Free Trade Day, ARCIA members can attend the exhibition between noon and 7 pm, with the cocktail hour beginning at 5 pm. ARCIA will have an opportunity to address the attendees at the cocktail hour and promote both the association and the radio industry.

Conference details and programs are available on the BICSI website.
