BAI Communications appoints Peter Knott as COO

Broadcast and telecommunications service provider BAI Communications has appointed Peter Knott as Chief Operating Officer. He took up the role on 1 June.

Knott joined the firm in 2016 as General Manager of Commercial Finance, later becoming Chief Financial Officer in 2018. He will now lead core business operations, looking after network strategy, service integrity, service delivery, HSE, property and energy functions.

Chief Executive Peter Lambourne said Knott had a demonstrated track record of success at the company.

“It is Peter’s passion for people, vision, customer focus and proven record of delivery that makes Peter the ideal candidate to lead our core business in the next stages of its development,” Lambourne said.

Knott said he was honoured to have joined BAI Australia during an accelerated period of growth and transformation.

“I am incredibly energised to help lead the company through its next phase of innovation coupled with operational excellence,” he said.

“I believe the potential for growth and value creation is tremendous, given BAI’s intelligent and passionate people, modern technology and worldwide expertise.

“As such, I am committed to building on our reputation as the industry’s trusted partner of choice, delivering exciting opportunities for our people and smart solutions for our customers.”

A former executive at Engineering firm WorleyParsons, Knott brings expertise in strategic leadership, partnerships, value creation and risk management.
