BeammWave joins 3GPP
Thursday, 19 May, 2022
Germany’s BeammWave AB will join the 3rd Generation Partnership Project (3GPP) with the intention to contribute its expertise in FR2 (mmWave) for future releases of the global 3GPP standards.
The company claims its digital beamforming technology for the mmWave frequency range (FR2) can strengthen 5G as the platform for the next decade. FR2 has specific technical properties and is not isolated to the radio parts of the 5G standard but touches on all aspects of the standard and its implementations.
