Berkeley and EDX collaboration

Tuesday, 15 May, 2012

Berkeley Varitronics Systems and EDX Wireless have collaborated to support each other's hardware (Coyote) and software (SignalPro) platforms.

EDX SignalPro offers study types needed to design a wireless network, including area studies, link/point-to-point studies and route studies.

The EDX family also includes Signal-IQ, a comprehensive software system for the design of in-building wireless networks, including distributed antenna systems (DAS), picocell, femtocell and 802.11 Access Point deployments. It is a fully integrated, standalone indoor RF design tool, focused on the needs of in-building design.

Coyote is a modular receiver system, providing two independent RSSI measurements, using precision dual receivers. It supports hot-swappable components, including removable/rechargeable Li-Ion battery, CF storage cards, a removable 12-channel GPS receiver module and two removable calibrated receiver modules for both indoor and outdoor drive studies.
