Call for abstracts for search and rescue conference

Organisers of the 2015 Australian & New Zealand Search and Rescue Conference are calling for submission of abstracts for papers and presentations.
To be held on 6 May (the day after the Australian & New Zealand Disaster and Emergency Management Conference) at Jupiters Gold Coast, the event will showcase leading search and rescue practitioners to present and discuss challenges of the Search and Rescue industry.
The conference topics will include:
- How to improve SAR preparedness
- Multinational agreement and exercises
- Addressing the challenges of deploying and operating
- International and regional cooperation
- International conventions for maritime search and rescue
- Crisis management: managing media and social media
- Advancements in technology, equipment, machinery
- Moves towards an outsourced capability
- Domestic SAR in urban and wilderness environment
- Systems and data
The conference will facilitate knowledge, sharing and experience between various search and rescue agencies, enterprises, communities and professionals.
