Canadian distributor for Sepura
Sepura has appointed Cartel Communication Systems as an official distributor of its products in Canada.
The appointment comes at a critical time in the development of TETRA, with Canada having only changed its regulations in order to permit the use of the technology in spring 2011. This agreement follows the company’s recent partnering with Nielson Communications in the US.
Dave Sanche, president and CEO of Cartel Communication Systems, said, “TETRA has become a very important technology internationally, bridging voice, operational data transfer and machine-to-machine communications. We have a unique capability to bring the many benefits of what TETRA has to offer to the Canadian industrial wireless communications community. Cartel is proud to have been selected in such a key role and we are excited to bring Sepura’s line of world-class solutions to our market.”
Kenneth Hubner, sales director for Sepura, said, “Following the trends seen elsewhere in the world, TETRA will undoubtedly make a significant impact on the professional mobile radio industry in Canada. As such, Sepura is bolstering its commitment to develop this important market with the appointment of Cartel. Together, the two organisations will enable robust and secure communications across a variety of market sectors such as utilities and transport, as well as a wide range of other commercial organisations”.
