Comms Connect Melbourne 2014 - call for papers
If you're considering presenting a paper or workshop at Comms Connect Melbourne this year, the deadline is rapidly approaching.
To be held 30 September - 2 October at the Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre, Comms Connect Melbourne will once again bring together the critical communications industry under one roof for several days of workshops, presentations and exhibitions.
Organisers are reminding industry participants that the deadline for applying to present a paper or workshop is 16 May. The conference will cover a wide range of industry sectors, so your submission could target specific groups of users or be more general with a broader appeal.
A broad cross-section of papers and case studies is sought from the following sectors:
- Transportation - road, rail operators, ports and airports, taxis and buses
- Public Safety/Emergency Management - including all agencies and volunteer organisations
- Utilities - water, gas and power generation
- Resources - mining, oil and gas
- Government - including customs and excise, defence and military, environment
- Commercial - retail, construction, venues, health facilities, hospitality etc
A variety of workshops will also be presented. If you, a colleague or your organisation would like to present, or have an idea for a workshop that you would like to be involved with, please call or email Paul Davis on 02 9487 2700 or pdavis@westwick-farrow.com.au to discuss.
The deadline for applications is 16 May. Successful applicants will be notified no later than 16 June 2014 and will be required to submit their presentations electronically no later than 31 August, unless prior arrangement has been made.
