Comms Connect (WFevents)
Wednesday, 20 August, 2014

Comms Connect Melbourne will this year feature three concurrent streams of speaker sessions and panel discussions, with the addition of a Public Safety & Emergency Management stream.

Spread over two days (1 and 2 October), the conference will cover a myriad of topics of interest to everyone in the critical communications field: latest technologies; regulation and government policy; case studies; security; the Internet of Things, and many more.

The new Public Safety & Emergency Management stream will see a number of critical communications case studies presented, including surf lifesaving, medical care, BYOD, mobility, transport networks, social media, body-worn video, unmanned aerial systems, and more.

The new stream will also have two panel sessions - Next Generation Triple Zero (NG000): an international perspective, and Wireless broadband for mission-critical public safety data - both featuring high-level representatives from law enforcement and emergency management authorities from several countries.

The two other industry streams will be chock full of informative presentations, case studies and technical discussions covering many technologies and standards, eg, LTE, TETRA, DMR.

All up, more than 30 presentations plus several panel discussions will be spread across the two days.

Don’t forget that pre-conference workshops will be held on the day prior, 30 September. And of course, there’ll be the popular exhibition hall, at which around 70 vendors and industry groups will be on display.

Full details of the conference, workshops, exhibition and registration details are available on the Comms Connect website.

You’re also encouraged to register for the Annual Gala Dinner of the Australian Radio Communications Industry Association, which will be held on the evening of 1 October. Full details are available on the ARCIA website.
