Communications Australia has acquired TR Bearcom. As part of the acquisition, Communications Australia’s radio communications and technology division will change its name to CA Bearcom.

“With offices across the country, the acquisition of TR Bearcom will allow us to not only grow our presence nationally, but also focus on rapid business expansion plans as a newly combined entity,” said Mario Vecchio, CEO, Communications Australia.

“The acquisition will provide CA Bearcom with unparalleled reach and national scope to become the first truly national, full spectrum radio solutions partner to Motorola Solutions in Australia offering significant benefits to customers through economies of scale.”

Communications Australia has been a Motorola Solutions radio communications and technology partner for over two years, and brings over 15 years of in-depth knowledge and certified expertise across a range of industry sectors.

TR Bearcom is similarly one of Motorola Solutions Australia’s most awarded radio communications partners and, as a new entity, CA Bearcom will continue to focus on serving the minerals and energy, public safety, government, construction, retail, health, transport and security sectors.

“We are very excited by the opportunities the new acquisition will bring through the combined financial strength, sales, service and technical excellence both companies have boasted to date. CA Bearcom will serve to not only strengthen our existing channel partner network, but ultimately enhance service levels we provide to our customers, helping them achieve their overall business goals,” said Neale Joseph, general manager of Radio Solutions, Motorola Solutions Australia and New Zealand.

The minerals and energy sectors in Western Australia and Queensland will continue to be an area of particular focus for CA Bearcom, particularly around remote and on-site managed services, fully integrated communications design consultancy, systems engineering installation and full life cycle management.
