Compliance testing results released
Tait Radio Communications is among the first land mobile radio manufacturers able to issue test reports and supplier’s declaration of compliance statements as part of the inaugural P25 Compliance Assessment Program (CAP) tests.
The purpose of the documentation is to provide emergency response agencies with evidence that Tait P25 equipment has been tested within a Department of Homeland Security-approved laboratory and complies with phase 1 standards and performance requirements as established by the Telecommunications Industry Association.
In May 2009, the company was among only four land mobile radio manufacturers to be named by the US federal government as having a recognised P25 Compliance Assessment Program (P25 CAP) laboratory.
Since then, the TP9100 portable radios and TM9100 mobile radios have been through rigorous and objective tests with several certified manufacturers. In addition, Tait/EADS hosted an interoperability event to allow other manufacturers' subscribers to be tested with Tait TB9100/EADS CORP25 infrastructure.
The SDoCs are now available on the Responder Knowledge Base website (www.rkb.us) with each document outlining the product tested, the version tested, other vendor products that it was tested against and pass/fail results for each feature.
