Dean Brookes appointed RGM of Tait Asia Pacific
Tait Communications has appointed Dean Brookes as the regional general manager of Tait Asia Pacific. He replaces Brett Smythe, who has been appointed to the new global role of general manager sales and channel development.
Brookes brings over 20 years of management experience to the role, including leading the Asia Pacific Services team since joining Tait as regional services manager in 2012. During that time, he was responsible for driving the company’s services business in the Asia Pacific region.
Previously, Brookes held several senior management positions in Australia, Singapore and Japan. He has also been responsible for the sale, delivery and maintenance of a number of large-scale GSM, 3G and MPT1327 projects.
Smythe’s new role will see him work closely with Brookes and Tait’s regional general managers in the US and Europe to drive the company’s LMR business and strengthen relationships across channel partners.
