DMR Association grows to 140 members
In a short announcement via Twitter, the DMR Association has said that it now counts 140 members — 57 manufacturers, 56 system integrators and value-added resellers and 27 user organisations — among its ranks.
According to its website, the DMR Association “began in 2005 as a group of leading public mobile radio manufacturers to support ETSI during the Digital Mobile Radio standardisation process. Our membership is welcoming and open to all organisations or individuals who use or build DMR products or those working to support the DMR standard in other ways.”
The association says that its aims are to help grow the DMR market by removing barriers to interoperability, and supporting innovation and adoption of the standard via the creation of new devices and services.
