Be an early bird. Early bird registrations for the Comms Connect 2013 conference in Melbourne will be closing on 18 October - so if you're planning on attending, make sure you get in early to save a substantial amount over the standard registration costs. There a various options including full registrations to cover the workshops, conference and exhibition, as well as options for single and half days, ARCIA gala dinner and so on. Public safety conference. The APCO Global Alliance and TCCA have joined forces to present a conference and exhibition for the Asia-Pacific public safety community. Called the 'Future Public Safety Communications Congress', it will be held from 22 to 23 October 2013 at the Novotel Clarke Quay in Singapore.
Military matters. Exelis has been awarded a foreign military sale contract to provide an unspecified international customer with comms equipment, spares and training. The contract includes SpearNet radio systems, Manpack radio systems and handheld radios. Meanwhile, Advantech Wireless has been chosen to provide a North American military body with point-to-point microwave radio equipment
