Global communication professionals meet in Vegas
The International Wireless Communications Expo (IWCE 2013) will be held at the Las Vegas Convention Center from 11-15 March.
The five-day event is said to bring together over 7500 participants from federal, state and local governments; law enforcement, fire and other public safety professionals; utilities; transportation; dealers; wireless service providers; and other engineers, IT professionals and consultants.
The trade show will feature over 330 manufacturers showcasing the latest in communications technology and the conference program features a line-up of influential industry leaders.
The exhibitors will provide solutions in: two-way radio systems; mobile data/mobile computing; location technologies: AVL/GPS/GIS/mapping; SCADA/telemetry/M2M technology; towers/site equipment; antennas and batteries; dispatch communication equipment; test equipment; headsets/microphones/accessories; microwave equipment; trunking equipment; engineering/consulting services; wireless broadband; amplifiers/repeaters; satellite; surveillance equipment; software; VoIP; 802.11/Wi-Fi; computer systems; integrators; TETRA; paging/messaging; cellular/PCS; WiMAX, LTE and other 4G; DAS/in-building coverage; system integration and interoperability; RoIP/VoIP; wireless backhaul; P25 and more.
The exhibit hall will be open on 13 and 14 March from 10.00 am.
The five days of workshops, sessions and networking opportunities provide government agencies, public safety professionals, enterprise users, wireless service providers, IT professionals and dealers the ability to learn about all aspects of communications technology.
The College of Technology, held on the 11th and 12th, will provide both introductory courses and technical workshops for all types and levels. These half-day and full-day workshops will provide a good foundation for communications technology knowledge, from backhaul and test and measurement to project management and system planning.
Short courses, held from the 13th to 15th, will provide valuable information on infrastructure, system planning, next-generation networks, broadband, hardware, applications, spectrum optimisation and interoperability. Special sessions will be held for specific attendee groups and regulatory updates from leading associations.
