GovInnovate Summit 2015 fast approaching
The must-attend event for public service professionals is nearly here with the 4th annual GovInnovate Summit for 2015.
The forum, to be held at the National Convention Centre in Canberra from 24–26 November, aims to align government business needs with excellence in citizen service design, digital delivery and security.
This year’s program will be held against the backdrop of the federal government’s digital transformation agenda and will delve into the technological and policy-based aspects of innovation, giving delegates the opportunity to share ideas and learnings from colleagues across all three levels of government.
The first day will host workshops, while days two and three will follow a conference and exhibition format with two streams and roundtables covering topics such as big data, cloud services, cybersecurity, procurement and citizen engagement, among others.
Attendees can hear from international and Australian-based digital transformation practitioners, including:
- Paul Shetler, CEO, Digital Transformation Office, Australian Government — Shetler will give insights to the Digital Transformation Office in action;
- Katrin Reinhold, Director of Information System, Information System Authority, Republic of Estonia — Reinhold will talk about delivering excellence in digital government and why Estonia is one of the most advanced digital countries;
- Christopher Koch, Deputy CFO, Freelancer Limited — Koch is from the world’s largest freelancing and crowdsourcing marketplace, and will present on the underlying drivers of disruption and the implications for policy.
