PSCE conference addresses issues in public safety comms
Crisis responders and solution providers gathered in Paris this month to explore key issues in public safety communications.
Public safety practitioners, policymakers, academic researchers and industrial experts converged at Public Safety Communication Europe’s (PSCE) biannual conference on the fourth and fifth of December to learn about the latest relevant technologies and gain and share new ideas and information.
The conference included talks on ‘the use of drones in Crisis Management’, ‘Broadband Communications: current status’, ‘Space Systems and Applications for Safety and Security’ and ‘Managing Information Overload in Situational Awareness’.
It was preceded by workshops on ‘Public Warning Systems’ and ‘Mobilising Video for Public Preparedness and Disaster Response (PPDR)’, PSCE said.
PSCE hopes discussions triggered by the conference will lead to improvements in public safety operations.
