Registrations open soon for APCO Australasia/ARCIA seminar and dinner
APCO Australasia (APCO-A) and the Australian Radio Communications Industry Association (ARCIA) are combining to provide two functions for the communications industry and users. The functions will be held at the Pagoda Ballroom in South Perth on 10 April 2014.
APCO-A will present an afternoon seminar along the lines of the events held in the eastern states last year. The seminar will focus on topics of interest to the public safety community as well as the communications industry. The event will also encourage the transfer of information between the various people attending in a casual networking environment.
The seminar will provide presentations from both APCO-A and ARCIA, covering the topics of change management and unifying critical communications. Following these, there will be a panel discussion involving local emergency service personnel which will discuss change management.
The afternoon seminar will be followed by refreshments and time for networking ahead of the ARCIA regional dinner that evening. This year’s dinner will outline ARCIA plans for training and some of the progress made so far. The new ARCIA president, Hamish Duff, will also be present.
The dinner provides an opportunity to talk to the ARCIA committee representatives and highlight what is required from the local perspective. Attendees are encouraged to mix with others from the industry, share concerns and maybe solve some problems.
Please email events@arcia.org.au to register your interest. Ticketing details will be announced shortly and there will be an option for ARCIA members to receive a discount on tickets, as well as being able to combine ticketing for both the afternoon seminar and the evening dinner.
