RFI Technology Solutions acquires Digital Drift
RFI Technology Solutions has acquired the assets of Digital Drift, including the product designs, intellectual property, manufacturing rights and key staff.
Digital Drift provides power distribution and high-speed network connectivity to devices in challenging industrial environments, such as underground mines, tunnels, processing plants and agriculture.
“The acquisition of Digital Drift complements our fibre-optic and wireless offerings, enabling RFI to provide complete data network solutions to underground mines — from the surface to the working face,” said Scott Magee, CEO of RFI Technology Solutions.
“This is an exciting technology solution with huge potential and advantages for our customers, particularly in the mining sector.”
As part of the acquisition, Chris Snell moves across to RFI to join the mining solutions group, leading the further development of the Digital Drift system and its integration with RFI’s two-way radio solutions.
Snell joins RFI with over 10 years of experience in the mining industry, delivering data networking solutions to underground mines around the globe.
