RFS boosts pressure in Malaysia
RFS (Radio Frequency Systems) has expanded its partnership with Malaysian distributor C&C Universal Engineering Sdn Bhd to establish a bonded warehousing facility in Port Klang.
Served by good road, sea and air links, the facility will enter full commercial operation and provide a central logistical hub from which RFS can service its telecom users throughout the Asia–Pacific region.
The facility will be run jointly by RFS and C&C, with the latter responsible for management of the warehouse, including site kitting and reconciling of stock and deliveries and with RFS overseeing the distribution of goods in and out of the facility, forecasting supply requirements, and subsequent shipping to countries outside of Malaysia.
RFS initially signed C&C as a local distributor at the beginning of 2008 to boost its quality component logistics channel in Malaysia.
With four main cellular networks operating a mix of GSM 900/1800 and 3G 2100 MHz services, Malaysia is one of the most well-served, cellular-enabled countries in Asia.
