Sepura's new Group CFO takes up post
Sepura has announced it has a new Group CFO for 2016 with Richard Smith formally taking over the position as of 4 January.
The global critical communications solutions company said Smith was previously the CFO for several listed and privately held technology businesses, most recently Imagination Technologies Group plc. He has also held finance roles at Vodafone, Porsche and PricewaterhouseCoopers.
Smith said he is delighted to be joining Sepura at an exciting time of expansion and growth.
“The company has built a strong market position, and with the recent acquisition of Teltronic has created an excellent opportunity to capitalise on the growing worldwide demand for digital communications. I look forward to contributing to Sepura’s future success,” said Smith.
Group CEO Gordon Watling said Smith is a valuable addition to the group’s senior management team.
“With many years’ experience in the technology sector he brings the skills and qualities we need to lead and manage our key corporate financial functions,” said Watling.
“He joins us following a strong financial performance in the first half of our current financial year and I am sure that, alongside our existing management team, he will make a major contribution to achieving our rapid growth objectives.”
Steve Chamberlain formally stepped down from the role after filling the post since 2012.
