Tait appoints new leader of global business development
Tait Communications has appointed Craig Clapper as its president of global solutions and business development.
To be based at Tait’s US offices, Clapper will be charged with developing the global business and building new opportunities with customers and partners as Tait continues to grow as an internationally focused critical communications partner.
Clapper has spent the last two years in Stockholm, where he was head of Customer Support Portfolio for multinational communications provider Ericsson. Before moving to Sweden he worked for Ericsson in the US for 13 years in a range of roles, including strategic planning, services, sales and business development.
“We are operating in a highly competitive, global and rapidly evolving sector that compels a constant focus on the future,” said Tait CEO Garry Diack. “We are delighted to welcome Craig to his newly created role to lead our global business development and ensure Tait enhances its positioning in the critical communications sector.”
Clapper takes over the role from interim president Judd Cain, who has been with Tait for four years and recently moved from Houston to the UK to lead Tait’s UK and EMEA business from its new regional headquarters in Cambridge.
“Our appointment of Judd and the relocation of the leadership role to Cambridge reflects the strengthening of the business in the UK as a centre from which to service existing and future customers across the entire EMEA region,” said Diack.
