Telstra joins Comms Connect Melbourne as Innovation Partner
The Comms Connect team has welcomed Telstra as Innovation Partner for the 2023 version of Comms Connect Melbourne. Senior Marketing Manager, Government at Telstra, Michael Fidler said that Telstra will be showcasing the latest technology and thought leadership around mission-critical communications at the event, including a display LMR Satellite COW (cell on wheels), which has been successfully deployed and used in the field.
“These vehicles provide additional coverage and capacity, coordinating emergency services teams and keeping personnel safe in wide and remote areas of Australia. Importantly, interoperability and security are also maintained. Telstra is proud to sponsor this year’s Comms Connect in Melbourne,” Fidler said.
Comms Connect Event Director Geoff Hird added, “We again warmly welcome the support of Telstra, as Innovation Partner for the largest critical comms and public safety event in the Southern Hemisphere, and look forward to working with their team to add value on the content, experiential and marketing side for this important event.”
Fidler said Telstra has a long history of providing public safety mobile broadband to emergency services and will continue to invest in it for all Australians. “We look forward to seeing you at Comms Connect at the MCEC 18–19 October this year,” Fidler said.
