Teltronic-Hytera Day 2018 held in Mexico
The first Teltronic-Hytera Day, an annual event previously known as Teltronic Day, was held on 14 March in Mexico City.
The event was attended by technology professionals and end users from different sectors and industries.
One of the main topics was the need to expand the spectrum dedicated to radio communication to ensure adequate responses during police emergencies and natural disasters.

Andrew Yuan, vice president of Hytera, and Juan Ferro, CEO of Teltronic, described the overall operation of the Americas’ market and team integration since Teltronic’s acquisition by Hytera in 2017.
“With integration of Hytera and Teltronic teams in Latin America, we are looking forward to providing wider portfolio and better service for the customers,” Yuan said.
Nathan Kuang, deputy general manager of Hytera’s Mexico office, announced Hytera’s latest PMR-LTE Convergence Solution innovations for upgrading and migrating PMR technologies from narrowband to broadband.
Miguel Ángel Zamora Piña, who serves as advisor to the Chief of Police of the Public Security Secretariat, spoke of the demand for advanced technologies to reduce crimes.
“Mission-critical communication is essential in saving lives and enhancing operation efficiency, optimised technologies and equipment are always expected,” he said.
The event was officially opened by Ángel Lárraga Palacios, president of the Chamber of Commerce of Spain in Mexico, and closed by the Extraordinary Ambassador of the Kingdom of Spain in Mexico, Luis Fernández-Cid de las Alas Pumariño.
