TETRA tour heading Down Under
The TETRA + Critical Communications Association (TCCA) and the Australian TETRA Forum are providing a short series of workshops around the country.
As well as the workshops, 12 TETRA vendors will be exhibiting, including Panorama Antennas, Sepura, Radlink and Zetron.
Speakers will include Phil Kidner, TCCA CEO; Anton Abrahams, ATF chairman; Tero Pesonen from Cassidian; and Roger Dowling, TCCA SME chair.
There are three one-day conference and exhibition events to choose from:
- Perth - Assured Ascot Quays Apartment Hotel, 6 September
- Brisbane - Hotel Royal on the Park, 11 September
- Sydney - Vibe Hotel, 13 September
Delegates will be able to discuss their critical communications needs in depth; talk to key industry players; hear case studies from TETRA users; and see the latest developments as well as proven and established products and technology.
The TCCA currently represents over 150 organisations from more than 35 countries that manage the technology to enable an open multivendor market for TETRA systems and terminals. The association ensures air interface compatibility compliance testing between subscribing manufacturers that includes the interoperability certification process (IOP) between manufacturers.
Key objectives of the Australian TETRA Forum include: promoting TETRA as open standard multivendor digital technology and a viable digital solution to address future needs of existing analog and trucked radio users and potential new wireless markets; making representations to legislators to secure additional radio frequency spectrum for TETRA networks; setting up an Australasian TETRA terminal numbering scheme and registration; representing regional interests in the evolution of the TETRA standards; facilitating development of voice and data applications; and facilitating the exchange of information concerning TETRA.
