DOCOMO PACIFIC, AT&T join to deploy FirstNet in Guam
DOCOMO PACIFIC has been selected by AT&T to help support the deployment of FirstNet in Guam and the Northern Mariana Islands (CNMI).
DOCOMO PACIFIC will provide access to its LTE network while helping to build additional LTE coverage with the FirstNet Band 14 spectrum.
“Our island communities are all too familiar with the destructive forces nature can bring to our region. The key to staying ready and responding is effective and reliable communication — which is exactly what FirstNet is designed to enable for our region’s first responders,” said Roderick Boss, DOCOMO PACIFIC President and CEO.
DOCOMO PACIFIC is a member of AT&T’s FirstNet Dealer Program, which means it can sell FirstNet services to eligible public safety customers.
“We’re pleased to support the FirstNet mission. This will help transform the way Guam and CNMI’s public safety and emergency officials share information quickly when they need to most. So, when lives are on the line, we can rest assured knowing our public safety officials are equipped and have the necessary tools to communicate with our island community,” said Boss.
