Zetron computer-aided dispatch (CAD) System update

Monday, 21 March, 2016 | Supplied by: Zetron Australasia Pty Ltd

Zetron has released its computer-aided dispatch (CAD) system with a range of updated capabilities designed to improve the ways public safety agencies obtain, use and track incident information and resources.

The system provides enhanced incident handling and incident management, allowing users to access information based on incident role, link incident management records, detect duplicate incidents, clone incidents, as well as view incident information by agency. The update also includes support for multiple database operation, providing mirrored duplicate databases, background database synchronisation and automatic database failover.

Users will also receive interface support for next-generation ALI standards; improved National Crime Information Center (NCIC) search capabilities, including query by person, vehicle, article, boat or gun; enhanced resource management that improves how incident resources are assigned and controlled; and improved location validation, such as search for location by name, intersection or previous incident locations.
