Airbus connects drones with smart devices
At Critical Communications World 2018 in Berlin, Airbus will demonstrate the real-time receipt of video from an airborne drone, displayed on smart devices via its Tactilon Agnet app.
The Tactilon Agnet collaboration solution is fully interoperable with TETRA and Tetrapol networks, and also allows secure and flexible communication between LTE device users and TETRA or Tetrapol terminal users.
The company says that the real-time video receipt ability shows that Tactilon Agnet is fully interoperable with airborne networks and can integrate media channels during rescue missions.
Airbus also says that the quality of the video transmissions is visibly improved on Tactilon Agnet by using multiple secure broadband networks, such as satellite, LTE, Wi-Fi or 5G networks.
