Airservices signs deals for VHF radios
Park Air Systems, a UK-based air traffic communications subsidiary of Northrop Grumman, has signed a Deed of Standing Offer to provide its T6 radio to Airservices Australia.
The IP-capable VHF ground-to-air equipment will be provided for a period of five years.
In a statement, the company said that the T6 radios “will accommodate a number of upcoming air traffic communication service expansions, network changes and relocations” and will “integrate with Airservices’ OneSKY Australia” project, which aims to combine Australia’s civil and military air traffic management systems.
The primary communications demand for the OneSKY project is to migrate to an IP-based network structure, supporting VoIP to the ED137 standard.
The T6 is part of Park Air’s Sapphire portfolio, providing IP capability, small form factor and low maintenance.
