The Hytera Z1p, PD5 and PD6 made their first commercial appearances at the International Wireless Communications Expo in Las Vegas.

Hytera says the portables are sized to fit into palm, pocket or purse, or comfortably on a belt clip and still be easy to operate.

The Z1p is a fully capable TETRA portable with up to 5 W of power in a 12 x 5.8 x 2 cm package, weighing just under 370 g. It is IP67-certified and meets MIL-STD 810 C/D/E/F/G. Standard features include integral Bluetooth and Air Interface, and End-to-End Encryption.

The PD5 and PD6 DMR portable radios are suitable for users to incrementally migrate existing analog systems to digital because both feature dual mode (analog/digital) operation. They also use Hytera’s patented pseudo-trunking for optimum channel utilisation.

The PD5 Series are IP54-rated and meet MIL STD 810 C/D/E/F/G. Weighing in at just 275 g, PD5 radios offer DMRA data service, advanced signalling and One Touch Call/Text.

PD6 Series portables are compact, lightweight (290 g) and IP67 rated. Beyond standard advanced signalling including HDC1200, 2-Tone and 5-Tone, they can be equipped with GPS positioning and man down features (factory options).
