Nedaa, Serco renew deal for Dubai Metro
Dubai’s Nedaa has signed a renewed five-year agreement with Dubai Metro network operator Serco for the provision of its TETRA communications system.
Nedaa will provide service support and maintenance of the system network elements and radios used across Dubai Metro’s lines. The company is responsible for supplying equipment such as TETRA base stations, dispatch units, radio terminals, mobile radios and repeaters, and has established a 24/7 network operations centre to support the system.
“Nedaa and Serco’s strategic partnership has successfully evolved throughout the years and the renewal of this SLA demonstrates the strength of our ties with them," said Mansoor Bu Osaiba, deputy chief executive officer, Nedaa.
“We understand the essential role of a communications system across critical operations, especially for Dubai Metro, which transports thousands of commuters every day, from early morning to late evenings.
“To help ensure a smooth run of their daily operations, Nedaa aims to provide their essential personnel with only the best communications equipment and solutions, which not only reinforces their operations but also guarantees the continued flow of communication among stations and their head offices.”
