Radios fit for a queen

Thursday, 09 August, 2012

Over 1800 Hytera DMR PD70X/PD78X hand portables were deployed to support the Thames Diamond Jubilee Pageant, along with base station repeaters and accessories. Hytera’s UK partner, Roadphone NRB, supplied the radios.

The pageant was held in celebration of the Queen’s 60 years of service. The Thames river was filled with over 1000 boats in a flotilla from Battersea to Tower Bridge.

During the event, the radios performed well in the very wet conditions due to their IP67 rating.
