Sepura signs technical partnership with Erebus Motorsport
Sepura has signed an exclusive technical partnership agreement with Erebus Motorsport to develop the use of digital mobile radio (DMR) technology within the motorsport arena.
The collaboration will see Erebus use Sepura products throughout 2016 for both its GT and V8 Supercar programs.
“We started to work with Sepura ahead of last year’s V8 Supercar race at Bathurst and quickly realised how committed they are to improving the communications experience of our race teams,” said Barry Ryan, general manager for Erebus Motorsport.
“It was a natural step for us to form a technical partnership where both parties will actively contribute to developing innovative solutions specifically designed for motorsport.”
Erebus team owner Betty Klimenko said she is looking forward to witnessing the competitive advantage that digital radio technology can bring to the sport.
Terence Ledger, Sepura’s sales director for the APAC region, commented: “Erebus Motorsport share our ‘can do’ attitude; like us, they are competing successfully at the highest level of their industry.
“This collaboration builds on our long-standing reputation for high-end digital communications systems and the recent launch of our DMR range in Australia, providing an example of how our solutions address our customers’ ever-evolving communication needs whatever their unique operational challenges.”
