Spectrum management under discussion
The Australian Communications and Media Authority’s third annual conference on the management of Australia’s radiofrequency spectrum, Radcomms09, will offer an opportunity to hear the latest developments, future trends and challenges in radiofrequency spectrum management.
The event will be held at the Australian National Maritime Museum in Sydney on Wednesday 29 April and Thursday 30 April.
"ACMA sees RadComms09 as a great way to further engage with and stimulate open discussion with the radiocommunications industry," said Chris Chapman, ACMA chairman.
"We are pleased to announce that the Minister for Broadband, Communications and the Digital Economy, Stephen Conroy will speak at RadComms09."
Highlights of RadComms09 will include industry and ACMA presentations and a dedicated Q&A session on ACMA’s ongoing vital review of the 400 MHz band used by land mobile services.
Other topics of interest to be covered include opportunity-cost pricing, the release of spectrum in the 3.6 GHz band as well as presentations on the 3.6 GHz band from a satellite industry perspective and an ISP perspective.
There will be panel sessions at the end of each day.
Limited spaces are available for RadComms09 and early registration is recommended.
Registration details are now available on the ACMA website. Registrations close on 15 April 2009 unless sold out.
