Third European port installs Omnitronics radio dispatch system
Omnitronics RediTALK-Flex has been installed at the Netherlands Groningen Seaports, covering the European ports of Delfzijl and Eemshaven. This is one of a growing number of port authorities in the Belgium–Netherlands–Luxembourg (Benelux) region using an Omnitronics dispatch system to manage marine radio communications.
“RediTALK-Flex is an flexible, serverless system, the perfect solution for controlling and local recording of maritime channels,” said Marc Vermeulen, Technical Support and Project Manager at Sonal NV, who installed the solutions in Antwerp and Groningen. The Western Australian radio dispatch manufacturer offers the ability to customise functionalities to suit port requirements.
Groningen Seaports is the latest port to install an Omnitronics dispatch system, following the Antwerp installation. A proportion of Omnitronics radio dispatch installations includes some sort of customisation, no matter if they are cloud, data centre or site-based.
