LPRS has introduced the ARW-2400-2700-10 directional antenna for WiMax and Wi-Fi applications.

Operating in the 2.4 to 2.7 GHz frequency band, the antenna meets the existing requirements of wireless communications infrastructure and 3G communications operators and is also designed to meet the needs of 4G systems as they become available.

Developments taking place in the WiMax 2.4 to 2.7 GHz frequency band include systems intended to expand network capacity, lower operating costs, reduce energy consumption and increase connectivity by deploying a mesh of multifrequency, multistandard, low-power communications devices that can be mounted on buildings, poles or wherever there is power and a broadband connection.

The antenna has a frequency range of 2400 to 2700 MHz.
