Sanyo Australia has released two nickel-metal hydride (NiMH) rechargeable batteries. The batteries feature a 25% increase in capacity compared to previous models.

The high capacity rechargeable batteries (the NiMH 2100 mAh - size AA and the NiMH 800 mAh - size AAA) are suitable for devices such as digital cameras, PDAs, toys and handheld video games, offering longer running times. Their high electric current discharge quality meets the high demands of today's mobile devices and can be recharged up to 500 times.

A compatible, high-speed battery charger called the NC-MQR02, accompanies the batteries. It is capable of charging two batteries in approximately 105 minutes. The charger and 2 x AA batteries (2100 mAh) come together in a convenient, take home pack.
