Hytera helps keep communications open during World Cup
A Hytera radio system deployed in Pernambuco Stadium helped to secure a series of games during World Cup 2014. The 75 portable radios and single digital repeater were used by security guards and emergency medical personnel during five matches.
The system was designed to support voice in the stadium and its surrounding area in order to protect players, coach and fans, said Renato Eduardo do Nascimento, operation director of Rádio Ponto Com, a Hytera local partner.
The radios were of utmost importance in preventing and resolving incidents during the matches, such as checking for fake tickets and handling disorder in the crowd.
According to John Gabriel Barreto, manager of security V & S, good communications were essential to deal with a crowd incident at the beginning of a game between Croatia and Mexico.
