Royal Adelaide Show to rent Simoco Xd
Simoco’s Xd DMR Tier III has been chosen for the Royal Adelaide Show, 5-14 September, which attracts around half a million visitors each year.
The order, which was secured through channel partner Up-Link Communications based in Goolwa, South Australia, will be a complete end-to-end DMR solution including trunking infrastructure, specifically designed with an IP-connected architecture for resilience and ease of integration for business and mission-critical users.
In addition, 70 SDP660 portables will be supplied to help the 180+ event and management staff to improve their operations and efficiency across the entire site.
“The Royal Adelaide Show has been extended from nine to ten days to celebrate the Royal Agricultural and Horticultural Society of South Australia’s 175th anniversary, so they require a reliable communications network to support an even bigger event than in previous years,” said Andrew Stewart, owner of Up-Link Communications. “We therefore wanted to give the organisers the very best in open standards DMR trunking, which is why we selected Simoco’s Tier III Xd DMR network infrastructure.”
“Securing reliable means of communications is fundamental to the overall visitor experience at the Royal Adelaide Show,” said Ian Carr, CEO at Simoco Group. “Being able to rent the latest equipment means that the organisers and staff will benefit from the best radio communications with no long-term investment required.”
