Simoco has announced it will be demonstrating its open standards-based DMR and P25 solutions to visitors at Comms Connect at the Australian Technology Park, Sydney, on 18-19 June.

The Simoco Xd DMR solution, with Tier II and Tier III modes of operation, offers scalability, resilience and simplicity through a switchless IP distributed architecture, removing the need for costly core network equipment and easing installation and maintenance. It is widely used throughout Australia, with most recent deployments including Adelaide Oval, Rolex Australian Formula 1 Grand Prix and Perth Airport, who chose to deploy Simoco Xd DMR solutions to underpin their operations.

Simoco will also display its automatic vehicle location and other DMR applications, which are designed to help business and mission critical users requiring reliable and instant communications. For public safety users and first responders looking for a cost-effective solution for wide area coverage, Simoco’s P25 simulcast technologies will be showcased. Simoco’s multimode portables, mobiles and base stations, which run via the open standards-based DFSI dispatcher, will also be on display.

“Comms Connect is the ideal platform to demonstrate our latest DMR and P25 solutions and technologies,” said Ian Carr, CEO at Simoco Group. “Furthermore, with the M2M (machine to machine) phenomenon, we are seeing IP-based radio networks heralding an excellent architecture for converged communications, and Simoco will also be explaining the benefits and opportunities presented by IP-based PMR and how M2M can integrate with critical voice communications over various platforms and devices.”

Simoco Senior Bid Engineer Ashwin Dinkar will be presenting on M2M communication and the IP revolution in radio, dubbed as a marriage made in the cloud with down-to-earth benefits as part of the conference program. His session will explore the details behind the introduction of IP and how it has placed radio at the heart of business processes by driving operational efficiencies and enabling better management visibility of key network information.
