Tait secures Brisbane airport radio upgrade and services contract
Tait Communications has won a contract to upgrade and manage Brisbane Airport Corporation’s (BAC) digital mobile radio communications system as the city prepares for the G20 Leaders Summit later this year.
The upgrade will see Tait delivering support and maintenance services throughout the project as well as designing, deploying and supporting a digital mobile radio network.
James Kyd, Tait chief marketing officer, says the contract win to upgrade the network and provide full managed services is indicative of the way Tait is working in close partnership with its clients on a long-term basis.
“Our clients are now looking to us to provide the expertise to not only design and install their communications systems but to manage and support them as well,” he said. “Managed services is a key part of our growth strategy and will enable us to deliver increased value to clients, internationally and domestically, on a long-term basis.”
It is expected that the G20 Leaders Summit will bring around 4000 international delegates and 3000 domestic and international media to Brisbane in November later this year.
