H series data radio

Monday, 28 November, 2005 | Supplied by: Trio Datacom Pty Ltd

Trio Datacom has released its H series of spread spectrum data radio products for use in the international 2.4 GHz and 900 MHz licence-free frequency bands.

The series is intended for professional point-to-point and point-to-multi-point serial data radio communications in SCADA and telemetry systems. The compact HR240 and HR900 both feature full 1 W transmit power (user adjustable from 0.01 W), a high performance receiver and interference-tolerant frequency hopping to give the maximum range possible.

Each radio may be configured as a master, slave, or store and forward repeater and there are no limits to the number of repeaters which can be used to allow complex networks with extended coverage to be implemented at minimum cost.

The series is an industrial strength wireless solution designed for harsh environments with full -40ºC to +60ºC operational capability and with multiple user configurable security layers, as well as being suitable for most industry standard protocols such as MODBUS, DNP-3, IEC870-5-101, DF1, etc.

They use Windows-based GUI configuration and diagnostics software packages which include channel scanning and analysis functions.
