The IAC (Internet Access Controller) 4000 is aimed at organisations that need to manage large numbers of people online across both wired and wireless networks.

The device can support up to 1024 users simultaneously, making it suitable for large hotspot deployments, such as are becoming more common throughout the Australian services sector, in particular hospitality.

The product is also suitable for managing static accounts. Providing full Radius server support, the IAC 4000 also features an in-built proprietary Authentication/Authorisation/Accounting (AAA) server (controlled via a three-button thermal printer), allowing administrators to control user access, as well as billing, without the need for ancillary servers. A freestanding or rackmounted unit with five ethernet ports (WAN and LAN), the unit immediately recognises new users on the network - remembering returning customers - and redirects their browser to a proprietary web page which logs their registration details for future reference. Further, users need not modify their IP settings (IP plug-and-play) to access the internet.

Once configured, the controller can be managed via the web. It also features an in-built property management port providing a seamless interface with popular billing systems such as Micros Fidelio and Spectrum MK II.
