Cable family

Thursday, 01 January, 2009 | Supplied by: Andrew Australia

Andrew has introduced Heliax 2.0, claimed to be the world’s first complete cable and connector family for wireless networks, which offers operators and OEMs new RF transmission line options.

The company offers a complete solution for RF transmission line needs, consisting of two complete cable lines with one connector series that fits either.

Both cable types are available as feeders in a range of diameters or as cable assemblies.

A single, multi-faceted connector, the EZfit series universal connector is available for two products — Heliax FXL aluminium cables and Heliax AVA series copper cables.

Both help limit intermodulation distortion.

Heliax 2.0 joins the FXL series of aluminium cables, which are lower-weight and more durable, with AVA series copper cables, the more flexible, suitable for tight installations.

The cable family delivers lower attenuation in addition to adding lower weight to already overloaded mobile towers.
