Crystek has expanded its range of ultra-low phase noise voltage controlled oscillators with a coaxial resonator oscillator.

The CVCO38CC-3660-3700 operates from 3660 to 3700 MHz with a tuning voltage range of 0.3 to 4.7 VDC. (The CVCO38CC family is available in models that operate from 2.2 to 4.4 GHz in bands.) This coaxial VCO features a typical phase noise of -108.69 dBc/Hz at 10 kHz offset and has good linearity.

It has an output power of +4.0 dBm typical into a 50 Ω load with a supply of +5.0 VDC and a typical current consumption of 30 mA. Pushing and pulling are both minimised to 1.0 MHz/V and 2.5 MHz. Second harmonic suppression is -15 dBc typical.

The oscillator is suitable for digital radio equipment, fixed wireless access, satellite communications systems and base stations.
