Davidson Measurement and PCB Piezotronics have introduced a 1/4", externally polarised pressure microphone for extremely high-level decibel measurements.

Model 377A51 has a flat pressure-frequency response from 10 Hz to 20 kHz, measures sound pressure levels up to 192 dB re 20 µPa, and operates via a 200 V power supply.

Constructed of stainless steel and using a Lemo 1B 7 pin cable, this microphone meets IEC and ANSI standards and is for acoustic testing of airbags, aircraft and rockets, gun blast, and any other high decibel applications.
